RESULTS: SFAI Subway Championship and Plate results
It has been a thrilling weekend in the U13 and U15 SFAI Subway Championship and Plate competition, with several teams booking their place in both the U13 and U15 Championship and Plate finals.
The Athlone DSL will play RDYSL next weekend in the U13 Connacht Plate Final after they overcame Longford – eventually winning 2-0 AET.
Meanwhile, Sligo/Leitrim move into the National Plate semi-finals after they beat Inishowen on Saturday – winning 4-0.
In Munster, the U13 Championship final will be between Limerick Desmond and Cork after both leagues registered wins on Sunday.
The U15 final will be contested by Waterford and Cork , with both leagues securing their place earlier.
In the U13 Munster SFAI Subway Plate, West Cork and South Tipperary will do battle – West Cork beat WWEC today while South Tipp came out on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline against Kerry.
In the U15 Munster SFAI Subway Plate Final, North Tipperary play Kerry.
Finally, in Leinster, the DDSL will contest both the U13 and U15 Leinster SFAI Subway Championship Finals.
They will face Carlow in the U13 showpiece tie after beating Drogheda on Sunday morning in Abbotstown – Carlow earned their place thanks to an impressive victory over Kilkenny.
In the U15 competition, there will be a repeat of the SFAI New Balance Kennedy Cup 2018 Final as the KDUL and the DDSL lock horns – the KDUL beat Kilkenny on Sunday while the DDSL edged out the NECSL.
In the U13 Leinster Plate Final, it will be the Midlands against the NDSL – both sides recorded good wins on Sunday to progress.
The U15 Plate final will see Wexford welcome Carlow – Wexford beat the Midlands on Sunday while Carlow beat the NDSL.
