In their U12 contest, Waterford eventually progressed when they won 3-2 on penalties after the tie had ended 0-0.

Their spot-kicks were scored by Jason Healy, Diego Harnett and Romeo Akachakwu, while Darragh McNamara and Jamie Moylan netted for Limerick District.

Waterford will now face Cork in the U12 Munster SFAI Subway Championship Final after they beat Limerick Desmond, running out 3-2 winners.

In the second game in University of Limerick it was District’s U13’s who emerged victorious from another tight affair against Waterford, winning 1-0 thanks to Josh McCarthy’s fine strike.

District will take on Cork in the final after they had a convincing win over Kerry in their semi-final.

The finals are set to take place in Charleville on Saunday April 22nd, with the first game kicking off at 3pm.
