The Midlands booked their place in the U13 Leinster SFAI Subway Championship Semi-Final on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Carlow.

Their place in the last four was all but confirmed before kick-off, but the young Midlands players did not let that interfere with their focus, and will now face the NDSL.

Played in Ballylinan, the game was one full of good football, and it was Eric McLaughlin who bagged the all-important opening goal.

Aghbo Babatunde then added a second to secure the three points on an afternoon when both sides created plenty of chance thanks to some good play throughout.

The NDSL had already earned their place in the semi-final thanks to an unblemished winning record, registering four wins from four.

Meanwhile, the DDSL will play in the other Leinster semi-final, with their opponents yet to be decided as the SDFL and Kilkenny can both still finish second in their group.
