It was another day to remember for the Cork Schoolboys League as both their U15 and U16 sides reached the SFAI Subway Championship Finals on Sunday.

The U15’s travelled to Carlow, and although they were pushed all the way, a brace from Ryan McCarthy of Carrigaline United and another goal from Lee Kelly Obi of Ballincollig AFC ensured they progressed – winning 3-1.

They will face Sligo/Leitrim in the final which is set to be played on the weekend of February 24/25th.

Meanwhile, the Cork U16’s had a superb 2-0 win over a tough Galway team on Sunday evening in Mervue United.

Rob Geaney-O’Brien handed them the lead, and Jamie O’Leary followed up with a second goal to see them through where they will face the DDSL.
