The good feeling in Carlow Schoolboy football continued this evening when the Hanover Harps U15’s overcame Villa in the last 16 of the Skechers National Cup.

Ahead of Carlow’s U15 Subway Championship semi-final on Sunday, the Harps went to Waterford in search of a win tonight.

Indeed, it only took 20 minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Oisin Dillon put the visitors ahead.

Villa did hit back, but Hanover dug in and scored again thanks to Evan Gorry.

This was the first game in the last 16 stage of the SFAI Skechers National Cup, and with many more exciting matches on the way, Hanover Harps can now relax knowing they are already in the hat for the quarter-final draw.
