Corinthians began the game well, and it was Brian O’Sullivan-Connell who grabbed their goal in the second half.

He was superb all afternoon, delivering well from the left, while his strong running and intelligent passing meant the visitors were always in the tie.

Rory Maloney also proved his worth in the Corinthians goal, saving well on several occasions.

For St Kevin’s, Chris Conlon led the line well, and others including Taylor McCarthy, James Bailey and Pat Manning also impressed.

Having pushed for a goal all game, Hickey finally had them level late on, and with no goals in additional time, penalties were required.

Theo Hennessey saved well on more than one occasion, and St Kevin’s Boys now march on to face Wilton United in the last 16
