It was double delight for the Donegal Schoolboys League last weekend as both their U12 and u13 sides registered wins in the SFAI Subway Championship.

It was the first time out for both teams in this year’s competition, and it was the perfect start thanks to strong performances.

Donegal U12s v Inishowen 14012018

For the U12s, it was Conor Kelly’s last-minute goal that sealed the win over Inishowen when they welcomed their local rivals to the Finn Valley Centre.

Meanwhile, for the U13 side, it was a smoother route to victory, with goals aplenty for Conor Meakins’ youngsters.

Also facing Inishowen, the Donegal attackers were in fine form, with Oisin Duffy in particular playing very well and bagged himself a hat-trick.

Donegal opened up an early two-goal lead before Inishowen pulled one back, but further goals ensured the three points were secure.

Also on the scoresheet for Donegal were Max Johnston, Shea Malone and Pauric Hughes, with many others also have strong performances.

Next up for the Donegal U13s is a clash with Sligo/Leitrim at the beginning of next month.
