Mayo’s U13 side made it two wins from two in the SFAI Subway Championship on Sunday when they overcame a stern test against Roscommon in Solar 21 Park.

Having registered a narrow opening day win against Longford, Mayo came into the tie in confident mood, and the likes of Owen Elding was in fine form, scoring a brace on the day.

Kieran McGreevy also netted twice on an afternoon when some lovely football was played involving slick passing and potent attacking.

Roscommon, to their credit, stuck to the task against their opponents, and will be learning all of the time while challenging in the SFAI Subway Championship.

However, on Sunday, the attacking of the hoemside was intense, and Kevin Kitterick, Dara Hurley and Tiernan Tighe all got their names on the scoresheet.

Next up for Mayo is a trip to Galway, while Roscommon will host Longford.
