Limerick District will face Cork in the Munster final of the U15 SFAI Subway Championship after they emerged victorious from their semi-final against West Cork on Sunday.

Conor Keane was one of the standout performers, bagging himself a hat-trick, while others including Josh Shinners at left-back and James Killian in goal also performed very well.

The game itself did not start well for District, with West Cork netting the opener, but Ronan O’Dwyer equalised before the half-time whistle to leave it level at the break.

In the second half Keane then began his raid on the West Cork goal, scoring two-in-a-row, while Jay Ryan added a fourth.

It was then left to Keane to complete his hat-trick on a day when he certainly had his shooting boots on.

The Munster U15 SFAI Subway Championship Final looks set to be a great game, with both Cork and Limerick District playing some very nice football so far in this year’s competition.
