Aisling Annacotty’s U14 side emerged victorious from a clash of the Champions on Saturday to book their place in the last 32 of the SFAI Skechers National Cup.

The Limerick league winners travelled to Moneypoint AFC to face the Clare league Champions, and they eventually clinched a place in the last 32 thanks to a 5-2 win after extra-time.

Leon Kirrane had a huge influence on the tie, playing a role in four of the goals, while it was Alex Carragher and Ciaran Coulter who bagged both Aisling Annacotty’s goals in normal time.

Goalkeeper, Eugene Hurley also played a crucial part in the win, pulling off several saves at key times.

With the game in extra-time, Conal O’Duinn hit the back of the net, and Darragh Murray added a further two goals to ensure Aisling Anncotty’s route through to the final 32.

They will now welcome Ferrybank AFC in the next round, while in the regional competition they will face Listowel Celtic in a play-off.

The winner of that game will then set up a regional semi-final tie with Killorglin.
