A Roberto Ispalat brace was enough to see North Tipperary’s U15 side pick up their first win in the SFAI Subway Championship on Sunday.

The team travelled to Charleville to face Limerick Desmond, and the 2-1 win was enough to earn them a home draw in the SFAI Subway Plate competition.

Ispalat netted a goal in either half, with his first coming after good work on the flank by Dylan Morrison.

He then doubled his tally with a brilliant strike, and despite Desmond pushing hard in the latter stages, the likes of Harry Fleming, Colin Seymour and Oisin Treacy remained solid at the back.

Elsewhere, the NTSFL’s U13 side welcomed Kerry to Newport FC, also on Sunday, losing 5-2 after a very entertaining contest.

The North Tipp goals were scored for Ben Lynch and Sean Keith Crosse.
