The all-important goals came via Springfield Ramblers’ Evan Lynch, who bagged a brace, Carrigaline United’s Cian Spillane and Ronan O’Keeffe of Blarney United.

Meanwhile, the U12 Cork Athletic outfit lost by the slimmest of margins (0-1) when they welcomed South Tipperary to Ballea Astro.

Elsewhere, the Cork U13, who also faced South Tipperary, came out on top, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Carrigaline’s Mark O’Mahony and Blarney United’s Charlie Cummins.

There was also a win for the U16 team who overcame Limerick Desmond, while the U15 side played out an entertaining 0-0 draw with Waterford in WIT Sports Complex.

After the game the Cork players enjoyed food supplied by the Debbie Cox and Anne-Marie Barrett from the local Subway on the Cleaboy Road.
