This weekend sees the SFAI Skechers Cup Ulster Regional Finals take place across five grounds in the region.

The action begins on Friday evening under lights with the U15 Dessie Kelly Cup Final featuring Bonagee United and Letterkenny Rovers.

The latter have registered two impressive wins over Carndonagh and Carrick Rovers respectively on their route to the final, while Bonagee overcame Cappry Rovers in their first game.

They followed up that win with a hard fought victory over Cavan Shamrocks, eventually running out 3-2 winners, and Friday’s tie looks like it could be filled with goals if previous results are anything to go by.

Saturday will see three games take place, with the first featuring Illistrin FC and Kilmacrennan Celtic in the U12 Francis Porter Cup.

Both teams registered 3-0 wins in their latest SFAI Skechers Cup ties, with Illistrin FC overcoming Cappry Rovers and Kilmacrennan Celtic beating Cavan Shamrocks.

Quigley Point Swifts will welcome Carrick Rovers in the U16 Seamus Coleman Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The latter registered a 1-0 win in their last tie against Gweedore United, while Swifts arrive in the final having beaten Lagan Harps.

The final tie on Saturday sees the battle of the Rovers as Cappry face Carrick in the U14 Sean McCaffrey, with a kick-off time of 2pm.

In Cavan on Sunday the fifth final will feature Cavan Shamrocks and Lagan Harps – with both teams hoping to lift the U13 Colin McCabe Cup.

Harps battled their way to victory in their opening game against Bonagee United before edging out a five-goal thriller when they faced Ballybofey United.

A comprehensive victory over Fintown Harps then saw them reach the final where they will face Shamrocks who will be no pushovers as they have also been in great scoring form.
